Merzario A1

Following a successful career with the likes of Ferrari, Williams and Wolf, Merzario started his own team in 1977 with a customer March, then produced his own car for 1978. The A1 looked sleek and capable, but in reality was a disaster. Merzario got to the grid a total of eight times from 16 attempts and then scored the same ratio with the slightly up-rated A1-B introduced the following year.
