Lotus 94T
Ducarouge worked quickly to get this one ready and the first was ready for the British Grand Prix. It appeared lighter and tidier than the previous model and had a much better weight distribution which in turn improved the handling characteristics. It was never a winner but was certainly a move in the right direction.

Lotus 101
An improvement on Ducarouge's last design the 101 was a normally aspirated car which failed to live up to its promise. At Belgium both Piquet and Nakajima failed to qualify - a first in the 30 year history of the team and a herald of what lay ahead for one of racing's better known names.

Lotus 107B
Following an optimistic start to the season with 4th and 6th in Brazil, the car disappointed with only 12 points to show by the end of the season (11 Herbert, 1 Zanardi). Financial problems forced the team to concentrate on active suspension whilst abandoning traction control. Zanardi had a massive crash at Eau Rouge in Belgium forcing the promising driver to sit out the rest of the season, whilst replacement Pedro Lamy struggled to produce any results.
