Ferrari 640
John Barnards first full Ferrari was a sharp nosed car with a narrow monocoque and bulging side-pods designed to house the radiators for the bulky V12. Capable of 600bhp the car was no match for the McLarens when the season began and underwent a number of minor modifications that allowed Mansell and Berger to net three wins between them. The car was also very strong and allowed Berger to escape from a high speed crash with only light injuries.

Ferrari 412T
This was the car that broke a three year drought for the Scuderia. After failing to win a race since 1991 the team had big plans for this model. Sadly, like so many of the Scuderia's dreams this one also came to nothing and the win was a one off, and even the three pole positions paled into insignificance when compared to the 14 DNFs the car posted.

Ferrari F2000
Finally after 21 seasons and 340 races, this was the car that won Ferrari the drivers championship. The 2000 car had a new engine with the V-angle increased from 80 to 90 degrees allowing Ross Brawn to lower the centre of gravity and improve its aerodynamics. Winning the contructors championship as well was the icing on the cake.

Ferrari 2001
Carrying on from 2000 the F2001 continued to blow the opposition away. Schumacher gaining almost twice the points of Coulthard in 2nd place and in the constructors championship almost as many points as Mclaren and Williams together. The car was keptout of retirement for a further 3 races in 2002 such was its domination.

Ferrari 312T5
Last incarnation of the 312T series and eternally associated with the late Gilles Villeneuve. The 312T5 disappointed all round with a best finish of 5th for Jody at Long Beach and Gilles at Monaco and Canada. A total of just 8 points from its 28 starts summed up a disappointing season and heralded the retirement of Jody Scheckter.

Ferrari 312T2
The Ferrari 312T2 had its debut at the Spanish GP in 1976
where it came second driven by Lauda and kept many of the
features from its predecessor the 312T. Lauda also won the
Belgian and Monaco GP in 1976 in the T2. Lauda was eventually to
finish 2nd in the championship after withdrawing at the Japanese
GP on a rain soaked circuit giving the championship to Hunt by
one point. As a consolation Ferrari won the constructors
championship with 83 points.
For 1977 the team stayed with Lauda and Reutemann, but as the
season progressed friction grew between Ferrari and Lauda, until
after the Dutch GP which Lauda won giving him a big lead in the
championship, he announced he would be leaving Ferrari at the end
of the season. Then after Lauda had effectively won the
championship Ferrari unexpectedly sacked his chief mechanic
Ermanno Cuoghi. Lauda refused to start the Canadian GP in protest
and was promptly dropped for the last race in Japan where
Villeneuve was signed to the team. The team had won the
constructor championship easily with the Ferrari 312T2 with Lauda
winning three races and Carlos Reutemann winning one.

Ferrari F2003GA
The F2003GA (GA standing for Giovanni Agnelli who died earlier
in the year) was introduced in May 2003 and whilst hailed by Ross
Brawn as the best Ferrari ever, struggled by their extremely high
standards to dominate the field. Whilst it still took 7 wins
during the season, Schumacher eventually only scraped the
championship by 2 points with Barrichello finishing 4th. Of
course they also won the constructors title yet again but the
championships certainly weren't the pushover we all expected.
